The Works
Geographies of Matter, Memory and Belonging
Each PANGEA work emerges from the encounter between places, matter, and the act of painting. The earth and sand, collected from places charged with stories, wounds, and symbols, are not merely painting materials: they do not represent the place; they are the place itself entering the work, carrying its memories and imprints with them. From this encounter comes a bond between what belongs to a territory and what, within the work, can continue to live elsewhere. Through the act of painting, matter brings territory, belonging, and the inner dimension into relation. An act of care embraces what has been separated and transforms it into a new possibility for relationship. Thus, through its works, PANGEA creates a new geography of matter and possibility, where places, memories, and belonging can meet.
